HLA pupils enjoy work placements

Pupils undertaking a Foundation Apprenticeship enjoy work based experience

At the Highland Learning Academy we work with schools supporting pupils through foundation apprenticeships with the aim of moving them onto a modern apprenticeship.

Over the last few months the pupils have enjoyed work placements with local employers to gain real life work skills. Pupils study either Business Skills or Creative & Digital Media with us. Applications are open for June 24 intake for pupils going into S5 and S6. Find out more.

Thanks to all our employers for taking the time to make our pupils feel welcome and supported in their placement. Great experiences that will last a lifetime.

Our thanks to Kathleen Lohse NHS Highland, Ian Forsyth and Alan from DP Digital Media, Simon Campbell and Cody Cargill from Pure Lubrication, Ross Sharrat from Murray Travel, Cecilia Grigor from Planit Scotland, Duncan Macpherson from Hilltec Ltd, Sandra Mccaughey from DYW,  Nicola from Makesbymeg and Maureen Innes from Feddon Farm.

Thanks also to Linda King, Highland Council and Keith Greene from Skills Development Scotland.
